Funding Traders Review 2026: Rules, Payouts & Promo Code
Funding Traders
ActiveFunding Traders is a CFD prop firm founded in 2023 that offers 2-Step Pro, 1-Step Pro and Instant Funding programs across MT5 and TradeLocker. What interests me most is that these programs are not just different paths to the same account: the drawdown structure, payout requirements and consistency rules change enough to affect how I would actually trade them.
In this Funding Traders review, I focus on those practical differences, the standard conditions before add-ons, and whether the firm deserves a place among the best prop firms for traders looking for flexible CFD funding.

Funding Traders stands out to me less for the headline account sizes and more for how different its risk models actually are. PRO6 gives me a lower target but tighter loss limits, PRO10 gives me more drawdown room, and 1-Step Pro trades a shorter evaluation for a trailing maximum loss and a payout consistency rule. Instant Funding removes the evaluation altogether, but its 15% consistency rule, 3% safety cushion and 1% maximum-risk limit make it the option I would examine most carefully. I would choose the risk structure first and only then compare price or optional upgrades.
Key strengths
- PRO6 and PRO10 let me choose between a lower target and a wider fixed risk allowance rather than forcing one 2-step structure on every trader.
- 1-Step Pro and Instant Funding include a 90% standard profit split without requiring a profit-split upgrade.
- The Pro evaluations allow news trading and use no overall evaluation time limit.
Aspects to consider
- Instant Funding has significantly tighter payout qualification than the Pro accounts, particularly its 15% consistency rule and permanent 3% safety cushion.
- 1-Step Pro uses a trailing 10% maximum loss and a 50% Best Day consistency rule, while 2-Step Pro uses fixed drawdown and no payout consistency score.
- Several optional upgrades can materially change the advertised conditions, so I compare Funding Traders using the standard account before adding paid extras.
I see Funding Traders as strongest when I choose the program around my risk profile rather than the promotional price. PRO10 is the structure I find most balanced on paper, while Instant Funding demands the most discipline around risk and payout eligibility.
Funding Traders Programs Explained
Funding Traders currently offers three main routes: 2-Step Pro, available as PRO6 or PRO10, 1-Step Pro, and Instant Funding. The main difference is not simply how many evaluation phases I have to pass. Each structure changes the amount of drawdown available, the way maximum loss behaves and the conditions I need to satisfy before withdrawing profits. The program cards below show the numbers; I focus on the differences that actually affect how I would trade each account.

PRO6 vs PRO10
PRO6 and PRO10 are not simply cheaper and more expensive versions of the same evaluation. PRO6 lowers the Phase 1 target to 6%, but gives me a tighter 3% daily and 6% maximum-loss allowance. PRO10 requires 10% in Phase 1, but gives me considerably more room with a 5% daily and 10% maximum loss. I would choose based on usable drawdown rather than the lower target alone.
Optional upgrades
I compare Funding Traders using the standard account conditions, not paid add-ons. Optional upgrades can increase the profit split, shorten the payout cycle or change certain funded-account fees, but they also increase the purchase price. Promotional offers may temporarily include upgrades that normally cost extra; when that happens, I treat them as part of the promotion rather than the standard program conditions.

Instant Funding safety cushion
The first 3% of profit effectively works as a safety cushion rather than normal withdrawable profit. Once the trailing maximum-loss threshold reaches its lock point, I need to preserve this buffer to keep sufficient room in the account after a withdrawal. I therefore treat the first 3% as working capital rather than payout money.
Instant Funding consistency rule
The 15% Best Day rule is considerably stricter than the 50% consistency rule on 1-Step Pro. A large winning day does not automatically breach the account, but it can delay payout eligibility until I generate enough additional profit for that day to represent 15% or less of my total profit.
1-Step Pro maximum risk per trade idea
The 2% limit applies to a trade idea, not simply to each individual ticket. Funding Traders can group positions in the same symbol and direction when they overlap or are reopened within a short period, so splitting one setup into several entries does not create additional risk allowance.
Funding Traders news trading
News trading rules depend on both the program and account stage. The Pro evaluations allow news trading, while funded Pro accounts apply restrictions to profits generated around high-impact events. Instant Funding is stricter and prohibits trading through its restricted high-impact-news window under the standard conditions.
Funding Traders vs FTMO: 1-Step Comparison
I compare the $25K Funding Traders 1-Step Pro with FTMO‘s 1-Step Challenge because both target traders who want to avoid a two-phase evaluation. The headline targets are similar, so the more useful comparison is how each firm handles drawdown, payout eligibility and consistency after the evaluation.

Is Funding Traders Worth It for Traders?
Yes, I think Funding Traders is worth considering, particularly if I want a CFD prop firm with several genuinely different risk structures instead of cosmetic variations of the same challenge. My first comparison would be PRO10 versus PRO6: PRO10 asks more from me in Phase 1 but gives me substantially more room before hitting the daily or maximum-loss limits.
I would be more selective with 1-Step Pro and especially Instant Funding. Both can shorten the route to a funded account, but the trade-off comes through trailing drawdown, consistency and payout requirements. For me, Funding Traders is attractive when the program matches how I already trade—not when I have to change my strategy just to satisfy the account rules.
Best for
- Traders who prefer fixed drawdown and can choose between the PRO6 and PRO10 risk profiles.
- Traders looking for a one-step or instant route and who understand the additional payout conditions.
- Traders who want news trading during the Pro evaluation rather than avoiding scheduled high-impact events entirely.
Think twice if
- A large part of your profitability normally comes from one or two oversized winning days.
- You want the same rules across evaluation and funded stages.
- You are choosing Instant Funding mainly because it skips the evaluation without first accounting for its consistency, cushion and maximum-risk rules.
-
Is Funding Traders legit?
Funding Traders is an active CFD prop firm established in 2023 with published program rules, payout policies and corporate information. I would still evaluate it as a prop trading provider rather than treating “legit” as a guarantee that every trader will receive a payout; eligibility depends on complying with the specific account and risk rules.
-
What is the Funding Traders consistency rule?
It depends on the program. Funding Traders currently applies a 50% Best Day consistency rule to 1-Step Pro and a stricter 15% rule to Instant Funding. The current 2-Step Pro accounts do not use a payout consistency score. A trader above the applicable threshold must continue trading until the largest winning day represents no more than the permitted percentage of total profit.
-
Does Funding Traders allow news trading?
Yes during the Pro evaluations. On funded 1-Step Pro and 2-Step Pro accounts, news trading is allowed with restrictions around high-impact events. Instant Funding follows a stricter policy and prohibits trading through its restricted high-impact-news window under the standard conditions. Optional news-trading upgrades may change some of these conditions.
-
What is the Funding Traders promo code?
The current TraderFuel Funding Traders promo code is TRADERFUEL. A promo code, discount code and coupon code all refer to the same type of checkout promotion here. Because Funding Traders changes promotions periodically, I recommend checking the offer shown in the review card before purchasing.
-
Is a Funding Traders coupon code different from a discount code?
Usually no. Searches for a Funding Traders coupon code, promo code or discount code normally refer to a promotional code entered during checkout. What matters is the offer attached to the code at the time of purchase, since discounts and included upgrades can change.
